About Me
Hello, my name is Ivy Chen and I am studying music-voice at the University of Western Ontario.
About Me
From a young age I had a fascination with music and visual arts. My parents used to put on videos of orchestras performing and I would often pretend to play the violin or sing along with the songs. Or I would be making crafts and drawing everything to look like sailor moon.
It was only in high school when a friend encouraged me to join a choir, that I really began to immerse myself in music. After discovering how much I enjoyed music, I continued to take part in choirs and joined the orchestras playing viola. Now in university I am working towards a degree in music education, by studying and collecting new material for the future. |
Goals
A goal I have for the future, is to be able to share the community spirit of music with people. In order to reach my goals, I want to learn how to educate and to create nurturing environments on order to show to show people of all ages what music can be.
I want to advocate at schools and create a community space where people are allowed to explore the different aspects of the arts by giving them hands on experience, in order to inspire a new generation of people. |
